Biography
I’m a visual artist and emerging educator based in Dublin, with a background in Fine Art Print from NCAD. My practice focuses on socially engaged art, public installation, and participatory processes. I’m currently completing the Professional Master of Education (Art & Design), where I’ve combined my interests in critical pedagogy, collaborative making, and place-based learning.
Over the past two years, I’ve gained experience teaching in post-primary settings across junior and senior cycles, including placements in mixed-ability classrooms and special education contexts. I’ve designed and delivered curriculum-aligned art units that explore contemporary themes like identity, wellbeing, urban change, and sustainability. My teaching style emphasises student voice, cross-curricular connections, and a research-led approach to creative thinking.
I’ve worked with students to produce public artworks, community-focused pieces, and process-based installations that reflect local concerns. Much of this work is documented across this site, alongside samples of student work, lesson materials, and research reflections.
My studio work and teaching intersect regularly. I use materials like cement, printmaking tools, and photographic processes to engage with themes of memory, architecture, and lived experience. As an educator, I aim to support inclusive, critical, and visually literate learning environments.
This portfolio is a record of my progress as an artist-teacher and researcher. It reflects the work I’ve developed across studio practice, placements, and academic modules, and acts as a foundation for continued professional growth.
